Geval – Minds behind the scene
Our founder and CEO of Geval Inc. Amitava Roy, Ph.D. is a distinguished computational structural biologist specializing in protein dynamics and molecular interactions and a Faculty Affiliate at the University of Montana. Previously, he worked as a contractor at the Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch at NIAID, NIH, USA. Dr. Roy was also a Fulbright Scholar at Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency, where he collaborated with the Genomics Thailand Initiative. With a diverse academic background in physics, electrical engineering, and high-energy physics, Dr. Roy contributed to the discovery of the Higgs Boson at CERN in 2012 during his research at Purdue University. Transitioning into computational biology, he pursued postdoctoral research at Weill Cornell Medical College and Purdue University. His work integrates genomics, protein structure analysis, and AI-driven approaches to advance therapeutic development.
